  • 1/4 cup 12g brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 cup 120g all-purpose flour
  • 2/3 cup 65g unsweetened cocoa powder
  • 1 and 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1/2 cup chocolate chips + 1/4 cup for sprinkling on top
  1. Preheat the oven to 350 Degrees Fahrenheit / 175 Degrees Celsius.
  2. Swift the dry ingredients, all-purpose flour + cocoa powder + baking soda + salt and keep aside.
  3. Cream butter + white sugar + brown sugar until soft and fluffy.
  4. Beat the eggs and vanilla and mix until incorporated, scraping off the sides.
  5. Add the dry ingredients to the wet ingredients and mix until the flour is wet and comes together.
  6. Stir in the milk and fold in 1/2 cup of chocolate chips.
  7. Grease and dust a skillet or a cake pan. Transfer the cookie dough into the pan and flatten it out with a spatula. Sprinkle additional chips on top.
  8. Bake for 20-25 minutes, till the top is crusty but is slightly undone on the inside for a gooey texture.
  9. Top it with few scoops of ice cream and drizzle some chocolate syrup and salted caramel sauce.
Recipe Notes

If you are using a 9-inch skillet, baking time will be less.
