Chole masala…a dryer version / Chickpeas masala

Ingredients
  • 1 cup chole/ chickpeas cooked with 1 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
  • 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
  • 1 teaspoon red chilly powder or paprika
  • 1/4 cup onions finely chopped
  • 2 tablespoons oil
  • For garnish:
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
  • coriander/ cilantro leaves finely chopped
  • 1 green chilly finely chopped optional
  • 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon lime juice or to taste
Instructions
  1. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil on medium heat and saute 1/4 cup of onions. Add chilly powder and turmeric and mix well. Add drained chickpeas and sauté well till spices coats. Adjust salt if needed.
  2. Garnish with onions + cilantro + green chillies + chaat masala and lime juice.
Recipe Notes

I used paprika, so please adjust the spice level accordingly if using any other chilly powder.
