A quick and easy version of chole / chickpeas with the basic spices. I am wondering if this can be called chaat because of the final garnish.



Chole masala…a dryer version / Chickpeas masala

Ingredients
- 1 cup chole/ chickpeas cooked with 1 1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1 teaspoon red chilly powder or paprika
- 1/4 cup onions finely chopped
- 2 tablespoons oil
- For garnish:
- 1/4 cup finely chopped onions
- coriander/ cilantro leaves finely chopped
- 1 green chilly finely chopped optional
- 1/2 teaspoon chaat masala or to taste
- 1 teaspoon lime juice or to taste
Instructions

Heat 2 tablespoons of oil on medium heat and saute 1/4 cup of onions. Add chilly powder and turmeric and mix well. Add drained chickpeas and sauté well till spices coats. Adjust salt if needed.

Garnish with onions + cilantro + green chillies + chaat masala and lime juice.
Recipe Notes
I used paprika, so please adjust the spice level accordingly if using any other chilly powder.
