Check out this weeks blogging tip above the recipe.
Whipped Coffee recipe has been around for a long time. I first came across this beaten coffee around 15 years ago when our friend’s mom had invited us for breakfast.
I saw aunty stirring something vigorously in a coffee cup for a long time, adding a few drops of hot water at a time. When we finally sat down for breakfast, she added some of that whipped goodness to the coffee cup and poured some steaming hot milk. I could never forget that coffee because it was so good and this was before the cafe culture in India.
A couple of years later, my college roomie made this for our late-night assignments, and then it became an everyday thing. Mornings and evenings rarely went without this hand beaten coffee. Our friends started visiting us too, and we were famous for the cafe style whipped coffee.
The whipped coffee brings back the memory of those good old times.
Although I have been making it occasionally after that, I never thought everyone would go crazy over the recipe.
The recipe, now popularly called Dalgona coffee, gained its popularity on Tik-Tok during the recent COVID-19 quarantine time.
