Essential Ingredients used in cheesy pull-apart garlic bread:
A Baguette
The best bread is soft on the inside and crusty on the outside. Therefore, make sure that the bread you use holds together when a piece of it is pulled off.
In this way, you can get a perfect slice of cheesy garlic bread every time you pull out a piece.
Therefore, baguette or any other dense type of bread such as sourdough is great for this recipe. Just a reminder that multi-grain or wholewheat bread doesn’t taste as great.
Garlic
The star ingredient of the dish. Always cook it in a little bit of butter. This will enhance the flavor of garlic and at the same time, there won’t be a raw taste.
Butter
Always make sure that you use softened butter instead of melted butter and slather it into the cracks. This will make sure that the butter reaches deep inside every corner of the bread.
If you do not have softened butter then make sure to keep the butter out of the fridge at least for an hour before making the bread.
When you add the hot garlic butter to the cold one and give it a mix it will give a spreadable result. You can pop cold butter in the microwave for few seconds, maybe 5secs, but be careful or the butter will melt.
Flavorings
You can use fresh or dried parsley. However, if you have fresh parsley at hand then do use it as it has more flavor.
Garlic used in this recipe must be carefully used as it will determine the flavor of your garlic bread. You can use fresh garlic for a more robust flavor or the granulated garlic for a more mellow flavor.
Spread the smooth butter on both sides of the bread.
Arrange in a baking tray.
Cheese
Add about 2 tablespoons of mozzarella cheese between each slice. You can also sprinkle parmesan of top because that will compliment the smooth creaminess of the Mozzarella.
You can also use a variety of any good melting cheeses such as provolone, muenster, etc.
Add a pepperoni slice or two and your kids will go crazy!
Wrap the pan with an aluminum foil and bake it at 200 Degrees Celsius / 400 Degrees Fahrenheit for 20 to 25 minutes.
If you want your garlic cheese bread a little crispier, then remove the aluminum foil and broil it for the last 1-2 minutes when it is in the oven. This method makes the bread a little dry and it also hardens quickly so I don’t prefer doing it.
Enjoy this indulgent comfort food with your family. Pull out a slice of the warm yummy garlic bread straight from the oven.
Serve alongside pasta, soup or salad and enjoy it as an easy, delicious side dish.
After having this bread, with a perfect combination of cheese, garlic, and butter, you will definitely agree that it is the best cheesy garlic pull-apart bread you have ever tasted.
Serving Tip:
Make sure the freshly baked bread is cooled down for 10 minutes before serving. This will help to set the cheeses and also cool down the cheese a bit so that it is not extremely hot.
When you are serving this at a get-together or at a kid’s party, transfer the garlic bread to another serving plate since the pan could be very hot and burn anyone easily.
